About Building Enclosure Forensics
Building Enclosure Forensics is an independent building enclosure consulting firm providing forensic investigations, diagnostic testing, performance evaluations, and consulting services for residential, multifamily, commercial, healthcare, educational, industrial, government, and military facilities throughout Colorado.
Our expertise spans every stage of a building's lifecycle - from design review and construction quality assurance to commissioning support, performance testing, forensic investigations, and expert witness services. Using building science principles, industry-standard testing, and objective analysis, we help owners, architects, developers, contractors, commissioning agents, attorneys, and insurance professionals evaluate building enclosure performance, identify the root cause of deficiencies, and make informed decisions.
Because we do not perform repairs or sell building products, our recommendations are independent, evidence-based, and focused solely on protecting our clients' interests. Our mission is simple: to deliver technically sound evaluations, unbiased reporting, and practical recommendations that improve building performance, reduce risk, and support the long-term durability of the building enclosure.
Why We Founded Building Enclosure Forensics
Building Enclosure Forensics was founded on a simple belief: every building owner deserves the same level of technical expertise and attention to detail, regardless of the size or complexity of their project.
After spending years working for large corporate consulting firms, we recognized that many smaller projects were unable to receive the same level of service and technical involvement as larger, higher-profile assignments. Project schedules, corporate processes, and business priorities often limited the amount of time available to thoroughly investigate building enclosure issues and deliver the level of service clients truly deserved.
We believed there was a better way.
Building Enclosure Forensics was established to provide independent building enclosure consulting focused on quality, responsiveness, and technical excellence. Our goal is to give every client - whether they own a single residence, manage a multifamily community, oversee a commercial development, or represent a government agency - the same thorough investigation, objective analysis, and clear communication that should be expected on every project.
Because we are an independent consulting firm, we are not constrained by corporate production goals or driven by repair sales. We take the time to understand each building, identify the root cause of deficiencies through building science and forensic investigation, and provide evidence-based recommendations that help our clients make informed decisions with confidence.
Our reputation is built on delivering the level of professionalism, technical expertise, and personal service that we believe every client deserves.
